François and Maggy Doucet set up a confectionery workshop in the heart of Oraison, in the last almond crusher still in service. Their only product was then “Pralino Eis Amando de Prouvènço”: roasted Provence almonds wrapped in nougatine (mixture of caramelized sugar and almond powder), Provence herbs and bourbon vanilla. Rich in the tradition inherited from his great-grandfather Théodore Vieillard, creator of the Auvergne fruit paste, the products created by François Doucet and his children are regularly rewarded at trade fairs for their qualities and originality.
